A door opens: Salt River Scorpions extend a roster-spot opportunity to King

For King Williams, a senior football journey built through film, effort and opportunity took a tangible step forward in October: a roster-spot offer from the Salt River Scorpions program.

On October 10, 2026, King’s family reported receiving a roster-spot letter from the Salt River Scorpions. The family also shared a commemorative announcement image featuring King in his Cactus uniform. The letter represents an opportunity to explore the program further; it is not a signed commitment or a confirmed NCAA athletic scholarship.

More than an announcement

King is weighing football development, playing opportunity, academic enrollment and the ability to work toward a four-year transfer. Before deciding, the family plans to clarify the official roster status, college affiliation, tuition and fees, class transferability, housing, and the defensive-line development plan.

For college coaches following King’s recruiting journey, the significance is straightforward: another program has opened a conversation about his next step. He remains available for evaluation by other schools and has not announced a commitment.
